Project D-LIFE (Diabetes Literacy, Inclusion, and Family Empowerment) | 2020 - Present

Project D-LIFE to provide treatment, care, and holistic support to women, children, and mothers living with Type 1 diabetes (T1D) in marginalized communities across Southeast Nigeria. With over 50% of individuals unaware of their condition, due to limited healthcare access, poverty, and misinformation, this project bridges critical gaps by ensuring early detection, quality treatment, and sustained care.

Project 1: EmpowerHer Initiative - Combating Early and Forced Marriage (2019 - 2022)

From 2019 to 2022, Greener implemented the EmpowerHer Initiative to combat early and forced marriage in underserved communities in North central region of Nigeria. The project focused on education, skills development, and advocacy to protect at-risk girls. Through community engagement, we provided training for local leaders to discourage harmful practices, offered scholarships for girls, and established mentorship programs. Additionally, we supported families with economic empowerment programs to address poverty-driven child marriages.
